Had my colonoscopy this morning. This was a routine check-in, since it had been over 10 years since my last (thankfully having been in remission for nearly the entire time). I went into it resigned but not particularly stressed; sure it's not exactly FUN, but it's never been more than a hassle, honestly.

( More hassle than usual this go-around, though. )

Like 30-50" (75-127cm) of rain. My thoughts are with the people of SE Texas. Does anyone here know someone who is affected? Are they ok? Our only TX friends live in the Dallas area, which is scheduled to get wet, but not flooded, so they should be ok. But these before and after photos of the Houston area are just mind-boggling. Finally digging up the time to review the three (!) books I recently finished.
